LinkedIn Text Formatter: bold, italic & styles that stop the scroll

LinkedIn has no bold button — this free tool converts your text to Unicode-styled characters that work in any post. Type, pick a style, copy. Nothing leaves your browser.

Accessibility note: screen readers struggle with Unicode-styled text. Style a headline or a few keywords, not the whole post.

Pick a style

Bold, italic, script, monospace and more — the live LinkedIn-style preview shows exactly how your post will look.

Copy & post

One click copies the styled text. Paste it straight into LinkedIn — the formatting travels with the characters.

Pro tips

  • Style your hook or one key phrase, not the whole post — a fully bold post reads like shouting and is harder to skim.
  • Bold works best on the first line: it is what people see before tapping “see more”, so make those words count.
  • Pair styled text with short paragraphs and line breaks — white space does as much for readability as bold does.
  • Check your post on mobile before publishing: most LinkedIn reading happens there, and styled text renders slightly differently per device.
  • Keep numbers plain in italic text: Unicode has no italic digits, so mixed styling can look uneven — bold and monospace style digits fine.

FAQ

The tool does not use LinkedIn formatting at all. It swaps each letter for a Unicode character that looks bold, italic, script or monospace — from the Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block. To LinkedIn it is plain text, so it survives posting, comments and messages.
Yes. Because it is regular Unicode text, it works in any plain-text field: X posts, Instagram bios and captions, WhatsApp, YouTube descriptions, even email subject lines. Copy once, paste anywhere.
Unicode-styled words are different characters from normal letters, so LinkedIn search and hashtags will not match them. Keep names, keywords and hashtags in plain text and use styling for emphasis only. LinkedIn has not published any reach penalty for styled text — we won't invent one.
Partially. Some screen readers read styled characters letter by letter or skip them entirely, which makes fully-styled posts painful to listen to. Use styles sparingly — a headline or a few keywords — and keep the body of your post in plain text.
